Only Wear Green on St. Patrick’s Day
See any green today? You must have; its St. Patrick’s Day! Although the historical and religious significance of March 17th is when Christianity arrived in Ireland; It is undeniably celebrated far and beyond. St. Patrick’s Day could be a public holiday in Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia and New Zealand! From parades full of shamrocks and leprechauns to painting rivers green… yes that does happen! But why green?? Simply because the colour green has been associated with Ireland ins the late 1600’s. Did you know when the Irish were rebelling against British Rule; if wearing green; they’d be persecuted! So more of a reason to wear green in pride now that that war is over!
