News on New Stuff

This week has just been getting colder and colder! Last week it was hard to believe October was ending, but now November is quickly approaching and after that, winter…  Let’s not think about it too soon, right? But get prepared, you don’t want the cold weather to sneak up on you.

As everyone settles into their new routine for the autumn and the days get shorter, it seems like everything is the same old, same old. But all the new things come out this time of year! It’s new catalogue season! Everyone is coming out with their new catalogues for their products for next year, and of course Christmastime and gift giving. Nutcracker Sweet sent their new catalogue to me this week! I can’t believe 2014 went by so fast, and we’re already into 2015! What useful products will come out next?

If you’re into electronics, are you thinking about a new computer? New phones, tablets, and other gadgets seem to come out all the time! Video games, too, seem to release throughout the year. But these make really great Christmas presents, especially if you know the person wanted it for months.

Ikea and other furniture stores have rolled out their new stuff, too. I don’t know about getting a couch for Christmas, but planning renovations for the new year would be fun!  And anyway, it’s something nice to read when you’re stuck on a train or in a doctor’s office. Even if you’re not into super-modern Swedish furniture, you can appreciate the aesthetic. For me, it’s nice to fantasize that my house could be that organized!

Crafting catalogues always make me want to create something, but often I end up ordering something I don’t need. When it’s gift giving season, you don’t want to be selfish, but sometimes it’s hard to resist. If you look out for specials, you can get a good deal and lessen the blow, though!

Even as the days get shorter, at least it will be easier to wake up in the morning after the clocks go back on Sunday. The sun will rise earlier, so it won’t feel like you’re getting up in the middle of the night! It will actually feel like a new day. With all the new stuff coming out, I hope I can feel bright and shiny too!
